Do you need motivation, encouragement or space to sit down and write?

This is your chance to get away with God and be inspired through fellowship, teaching, worship and prayer. Spend as much or as little time working on your own project in the peaceful grounds of Titoki Christian Healing Centre.

Retreat Format

The Writing Retreat starts at 10am on Friday morning. Feel free to arrive from 9.30am onwards to settle in. We will finish around 12pm on Saturday. The retreat includes:

• Writing craft techniques
• Practical exercises
• Time to write
• Feedback & critique practice
• Fellowship & prayer
• Time to relax & lots of good food!

Accommodation

Titoki’s rooms are warm, comfortable and of  motel standard.  Some rooms have ensuites, whilst others have shared bathrooms. All have electric blankets through the winter.  Meals are healthy & delicious, made from fresh Titoki produce and will be served along with snacks, teas and coffee. Titoki can cater for specific dietery needs. There is a small surcharge, please let us know at the time of booking.

Cindy Williams - In coordination with NZ Christian Writers, Whakatane.

Cindy is an author of faith inspired historical fiction. With degrees in nutrition, public health and communication she has spoken and written about healthy eating for many years. Now she writes a more varied diet – of health, healing, food and faith. Cindy has written two novels: The Pounamu Prophecy and The Silk Merchant of Sychar.

Optional Manuscript Assessment

A 30 minute manuscript assessment is available with author, Cindy Williams. Submit up to 3000 words in advance. A small koha would be appreciated.

Cost of the Retreat

Including all meals and accommodation the retreat is $200. Get in early to secure an ensuite room!
