Contemplative Retreat for the Curious Seeker
with Bert Schoneveld
Friday, 28 August 7pm to Sunday, 30 August 3pm
The contemplative strand amongst Christians is gaining a growing interest. The contemplative way focuses on living in the present moment and allowing God's presence to be revealed through encountering the Living God in that moment. An example in the Bible would be Elijah in the cave on Mt Horeb while in flight from Jezebel (1 Kings19).
This retreat aims to introduce participants to such aspects of the historical faith as reading the scriptures contemplatively, centering prayer, journalling, silence and encountering God in creation.
