Honey Macadamia Slice

Base

2 C Flour

1/2 C Brown Sugar (highly packed)

180g Chilled Butter

Whiz flour and sugar.  Add butter.  Tip into heavy 21 x 30cm  slice tin, smooth out.  Bake 20 mins at 180c until golden

Topping

125g Butter

1 C Brown Sugar

1.3 C Honey

1 1/2 TBSP Cream

250g Macadamia nuts

1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla

Melt butter.  Add sugar, honey, cream and stir until sugar dissolves. 

Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium.  Stir a further minute.

Add macadamia nuts and remove from heat. Let stand for two minutes.

Add nut topping to base and bake 16-18 mins till bubbling.

Cool completely.  Freezes well.

Morrocan Beef Stew

1KG casserole steak chopped and coated overnight in:

3 TBSP Flour

3 TBSP Sugar

1 tsp Mixed Spice

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Ginger

1 tsp Mustard

1 tsp Curry Powder

Add

2 TBSP Lemon juice

1/4 C Vinegar

1 TBSP Worchester Sauce

1/4 C Beef Stock Liquid

Cook in oven at 160c for approximately 1.5 hours

Add 1/2 C Prunes

1 C Mushrooms

1 TBSP Lemon Rind

Cook a further hour and serve.
