Minister's Directed Silent Retreat at Titoki | July 6 - 10

Minister’s Directed Silent Retreat at Titoki | July 6 – 10th

Do you feel like you have been giving out in ministry and could use some personal time to recharge and reconnect with the heart of God?

Consider joining us for what is going to be an anointed time at our Silent Minister’s Retreat in the beautiful and tranquil setting of the Titoki Healing and Retreat Centre. All meals are fully catered and accomodation is comfortable and restful.

The retreat will be faciliated by Rev Bert Schoneveld, who has a long history of service at Titoki. He is the chairman of the Tioki Board of Trustees, minister, apprentice gardener and occasional spiritual director.

The theme of this retreat will be out of Isaiah: “They who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.  They shall rise up with wings like eagles.  They shall run and not be weary.  They shall walk and not faint.”

We believe as a participant you can expect to experience a touch from God as you take time out of your busy life's work. You will have the opportunity to examine your successes and failures and place them under the divine microscope in order to gain new perspective on your God given ministry.  We trust you will gain a new sense of relevance in your calling and leave feeling refreshed and ready for the future.

Personal Message from Rev Bert.

" I personally find times of retreat to be a valuable part of my ministry rhythm and an important spiritual practice. In the busy-ness of ministry we can and do become pre-occupied with our own successes and failures. What we do is important but not as important as what God wants to do through you and me. An annual retreat is not something to draw you away from your ministry but is an integral part of what it means to be a minister of the gospel."

"A silent retreat in particular gives me the space, and the beautiful setting at Titoki gives me a place, in which to reconnect with the heart of God.  God's love for me penetrates through in an otherwise busy and often stressed life. I come away from a retreat with a new confidence that my calling is real and that my ministry of preaching and pastoral care continues to be relevant and important to those I am called to serve."

Why silence?

We live in a world full of noise.  Every day we hear a multiplicity of voices through the radio, TV and the internet.  Add to these any negative internal voices from within and there sometimes arises a need to step away and take time out to hear the voice of God more clearly.

What is the format?

Retreatants are invited to arrive Wednesday, July 6th in time for Titoki’s morning service at 10am.  This service will set the tone of the retreat.  Each day thereafter, there will be corporate times of worship and opportunities for participants to engage in times of personal spiritual direction.  The retreat will end with a Sunday morning service on the last day.

What is the cost?

Cost of retreat is $360 for 4 nights and 5 days.
