Mind-Body-Spirit Wellness & Rejuvenation Titoki Retreat | July 2-3

Mind-Body-Spirit Wellness & Rejuvenation Titoki Retreat | July 2-3

Dear Friends,

We invite you to join us for a fully hosted weekend retreat at Titoki Christian Healing Centre in rural Whakatane from Saturday July 2nd - Sunday July 3rd.

About This Retreat

This retreat has come from the heart of Ang Jackson and Jules Hallberg, who have journeyed over the last 3 years, to understand what it means to live in “love, power and a sound mind”. They have researched the very best that the faith, therapeutic and scientific community have to say about this topic, and they present their work in the education and health sector.

In their own journey, they have known the principles of “taking every thought captive”, and “renewing the mind”, but weren’t able to implement these successfully into their own lives, resulting in anxiety, depression and damaged relationships. However, as a result of their own searching, they have developed tools and models to help themselves, their family, and others to implement these principles into their lives, resulting in restored relationships, and mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.

In this fun and interactive retreat, we will:

  • Deepen your understanding of God’s design for healthy thought life, emotions and spiritual connection.
  • Discover how God has designed our Brain, Body and Behaviour to be inter-connected.
  • Identify the unhealthy thought patterns and mis-beliefs sabotaging our lives, and develop healthy new thought patterns and beliefs to enable us to live in love, power and a sound mind.
  • Learn relaxation and spiritual practices to reduce stress and promote mental and emotional wellbeing.
  • Explore different ways of connecting with God in an encouraging, uplifting environment.

What you can expect

The retreat starts at 9:30am on Saturday morning, and finishes on Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm. All guests are invited to arrive at Titoki from 9am onwards on Saturday morning.

The retreat will be a combination of teaching, guided relaxation, prayer ministry, and free time for recreation and reflection. The teaching sessions will cater for all types of learning styles and will include interactive activities, hands on demonstrations, group discussion and reflection.

Each morning before our sessions start, we will be offering Selah Movement and Mediation. 'Selah' means to pause, to reflect and pay attention to. In this simple practice we include breathing, stretching, meditation, prayer, and mindfulness. It is the perfect introduction to the day, and for those who are just beginning to explore different relaxation practices.

On Saturday afternoon there will be a couple of hours of free time for you to catch your breath.  During this time you might like to chill out in our  'Relaxation Zone' which will include a beautiful range of aromatherapy, music, colouring-in and journalling materials, as well as guided meditations, and massage. (Massage will be $20 for 20 minutes head and shoulders, performed by qualified massage therapist).
